Sajid Javid announces Covid vaccines to be compulsory for frontline NHS workers

Frontline NHS staff will have to be fully vaccinated against Covid by April 1, Sajid Javid has confirmed.
Revealing the deadline in the Commons, the Health Secretary said doctors and nurses "carry a unique responsibility... because they are in contact with some of the most vulnerable people in our society".
He added: "It cannot be business as usual when it comes to vaccination."
Those with medical exemptions or who do not carry out face-to-face work will be excluded from the move, which will be put to a vote, Mr Javid said.
But NHS bosses have warned about the impact such a measure will have on the service at a critical time.
