The NATO mission office in Moscow has been closed after the Russian Foreign Ministry withdrew its accreditation earlier this month in retaliation for NATO’s expulsion of Russian diplomats.
Employees could be seen leaving the office for the last time today, while the NATO sign at the entrance was taped over.
Earlier this month, NATO withdrew the accreditation of eight Russian officials at its Brussels headquarters, saying it believes they have been secretly working as Russian intelligence officers. Moscow has dismissed the accusations as baseless.
