Africa's biggest oil refinery has been opened in Nigeria, which authorities hope will alleviate chronic fuel shortages. The $19 billion refinery in Nigeria's economic hub, Lagos, is the world's biggest single-train oil refinery and has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. Nigeria is a major oil producer, but most of it is sent abroad while the country has to import the refined fuel used in vehicles and elsewhere. #shorts
