Cities across China have gradually optimized and adjusted their COVID-19 prevention and control measures and organized the resumption of work and production. The new measures aim to protect people's safety and health and minimize the impact of COVID-19 on people's life, and economic and social development.
CGTN Stringer hits the streets of Chengdu in southwest China to record the lively local scene. Some local residents believe that the optimization of epidemic prevention and control policies will help economic recovery in the long run. It also makes local travel easier, as the city, for instance, no longer requires the scanning of codes for people who take the subway.
