'Hustler funds'. It is a campaign promise of Kenyan President William Ruto. It consists in allowing Kenyans to have access to micro-loans. A flagship measure supposed to help the population after the Covid crisis and that caused by the war in Ukraine. It has been a great success. Two weeks after its implementation, more than 15 million Kenyans have benefited from it. But will they be able to pay it back?
