(16 Dec 2022) Simone Ashley was already a working actor with credits including “Broadchurch” and “Sex Education” when she won the role of Kate Sharma in season two of "Bridgerton." Ashley didn't realize at the time what a great opportunity lay before her, but now says it's given her "an incredible platform." Ashley is one of The AP's Breakthrough Entertainers of 2022. (Dec. 15)
