EU-Qatar graft scandal: Judge to decide on detention of suspects • FRANCE 24 English

A panel of judges in Brussels is set to decide whether Greek MEP Eva Kaili and three other European officials can be released from detention. They've been charged with taking bribes from Qatar in exchange for influence over policy decisions. Kaili denies wrongdoing and claims not to have known about the cash that was found at her home. The corruption scandal has rocked the European Parliament and left it scrambling to regain its integrity. FRANCE 24' Europe editor Armen Georgian tells us more.
