French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz meet at the Elysée Palace, in Paris, to discuss the firming up of joint industrial policies in the face of recent strains. The historic partnership has been under pressure from Russia's invasion of Ukraine, among other factors. The meeting between the two leaders is happening on the 60th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty which sealed the reconciliation between the countries on 22 January 1963.
