The world is facing a surge in deadly conflicts since World War II. About two billion people — a quarter of humanity — live in conflict-torn places. In Ukraine, millions of people had become refugees. And in Sudan, heavy fighting have led to rising civilian casualties. China has spared no effort in quickly providing humanitarian aid.
