Ralph Yarl's mom says he's doing "well" after shooting, as school holds march in his honour

CA, 19 Apr 2023
The mother of Ralph Yarl, the Black teenager who was shot when he mistakenly went to the wrong Kansas City, Miss., home to pick up his younger brothers, says her son is doing "considerably well" on an emotional level — though physically struggles each morning, after what happened to him.

"The residual effect of that injury is going to stay with him for quite a while," Yarl's mother, Cleo Nagbe told "CBS Mornings" on Tuesday.

Nagbe also said that her son is being cared for at home, but only because he's surrounded by family members who have a background in health care.

Meanwhile, at Stanley High School where Yarl attends, students held a "Unity March" in support of the boy. Chants of "We love you, Ralph" were heard, as the student community gathered.
