Sudan crisis: Gunfire heard in Khartoum after ceasefire comes into effect
CA, 19 Apr 2023
A 24-hour truce agreed between Sudan's rival military factions was quickly disrupted by gunfire in the Khartoum capital region on Tuesday, despite international pressure to calm fighting that has sparked a humanitarian crisis.
The conflict between Sudan's army and paramilitary group RSF broke out four days ago, and so far over 185 people have been killed in the fighting across the country.
