Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill Thursday banning most abortions after six weeks, hours after the White House called the measure "extreme and dangerous." It came the same day as the US Justice Department said it will go to the Supreme Court to appeal restrictions imposed on the widely used abortion pill mifepristone.
