Water Splashing Festival celebrated across SW China's Yunnan

People are celebrating the Water Splashing Festival, the biggest festival of the year for the Dai ethnic group, in cities across southwest China's Yunnan Province. The festival marks the official New Year celebration for over one million Dai people living mainly in Xishuangbanna and Dehong prefectures, southwest China's Yunnan Province. The grand celebration started on Thursday and will last until Sunday.
