The Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation, Matthew Taylor, says that he is concerned with the Royal College of Nursing union's message that emergency care may not be protected in future strikes.

Such escalated industrial action could put lives at risk, while he understood nurses' ongoing anger at their pay and conditions.
