Taboo around illness in South Africa delaying breast cancer treatment • FRANCE 24 English

In South Africa, breast cancer is a scourge that affects many women. Beyond the scientific means available to detect and treat it, psychological factors often delay treatment. This is why a small NGO in Johannesburg trains psychological counsellors to help patients accept the disease. FRANCE 24's Caroline Dumay, Nadine Theron and Stefan Carstens report.
