NATO chief holds news conference amid Russia-Ukraine war escalation | LIVE

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will hold a news conference on Tuesday ahead of a two-day NATO defence ministers meeting in Brussels.

Ministers of the alliance are gathering to discuss the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine and solutions for the energy crisis Europe is facing as winter approaches.

A new round of missile attacks struck the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia Tuesday, as the death toll from the previous day’s widespread Russian missile barrage across Ukraine rose to 19.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow was open to talks with the West on the Ukraine war but had yet to receive any serious proposal to negotiate.
