A video posted online on October 12, 2022, shows Iranian authorities chasing a woman for apparently not wearing a hijab at a busy market in the northern city of Rasht. The emergence of the footage comes as the country continues to enforce a crackdown on protests sparked by the custodial death of Mahsa Amini in September, after she was arrested for allegedly not following the country’s strict dress laws.
