At least 19 dead after Tanzanian passenger plane crashes into Lake Victoria

At least 19 people were killed when a plane operated by Tanzania’s Precision Air crash-landed into Lake Victoria on November 6, 2022. Flight PW494, carrying 43 people, reportedly encountered problems and bad weather on approach to the lakeside city of Bukoba. Local officials said that rescue efforts were under way.
