Far-right Giorgia Meloni appointed Italy’s first female prime minister

Giorgia Meloni, the leader of the far-right Brothers of Italy Party, has been sworn in as Italy’s first female prime minister.
In a ceremony taking place in the Presidential Palace, Meloni was sworn in by the Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
