Canadian Transport Minister Omar Alghabra announced on Monday a new expanded air transportation agreement that will allow for an unlimited number of passenger flights between Canada and India, after a previous cap of 35 flights per week for each country between the two destinations.

There will also continue to be no limit of the number of cargo flights between Canada and India.

The government aims for this agreement to boost business and trade relations with India, the 13th biggest trade partner of Canada.
