Many emerging market economies have proven to be resilient growth drivers, despite global crises. One of them, China, is a rapidly developing economy that has become the second largest in the world. It has been on a mission to lend a helping hand with other developing countries. But, China's amazing growth does not sit well with some who fan the flames of misplaced fear and hate, China Phobia if you will. How can China set the record straight? How can we build bridges instead of burning them? CGTN anchor Tian Wei talked to Karim Alwadi, an entrepreneur and political scientist based in Beijing for a long time. He and his father, Mohammad Kheir Alwadi, who is a former Syrian ambassador to China, offer a better understanding of a rising China, with a critical eye on Western views, in their co-written book China Phobia: A Wasted Opportunity.
