Qatar 2022: Unfinished fan village silent day before opening World Cup game

The Zafaran fan village, located in closest proximity to the Lusail Stadium, is still under construction the day before the opening game of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Hundreds of cabins sit on top of green artificial turf near the desert, with the only nearby shops being an on-site pharmacy and fast food vans.
The cabins cost around £200 a night to stay, with the communal dining tent also apparently empty.
