French unions have pledged to bring France to a “standstill” on March 7 in one of the biggest strike actions yet to protest against the government’s proposed pension reform, which includes raising the minimum retirement age from 62 to 64. Hundreds of thousands of French workers are expected to take to the streets to protest the changes.
