Residents of the American town of Mt Juliet in the US state of Tennessee held a candlelight vigil to mourn the victims of a school mass shooting on March 28, 2023. The heavily armed suspect, Audrey Hale, killed three children and three adults at a private Christian school in Nashville on March 27. Police said the suspect suffered from an “emotional disorder” and the motive remains unknown. The tragedy is the latest in a long list of mass shootings in the US that has further fuelled the ongoing national debate over gun rights.
