The England cricket team were blocked by Just Stop Oil protesters on their way to Lord’s for their opening Test match of the summer.

Jonny Bairstow, the England wicketkeeper, shared an picture taken from inside the team bus that showed at least three protesters standing in the road, with police officers on the scene.

Bairstow added the caption: “If we’re a bit late it’s not our fault…” and included three facepalm emojis on the image, which was posted on Instagram story.
