Ukraine war: Australia sends $52m worth of weapons
Al Jazeera, 07 Mar 2022
Australia has offered more support to Ukraine, describing Russia’s invasion as a wake-up call to the West.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison confirmed that 70 million Australian dollars ($52m) worth of humanitarian aid, ammunition and missiles had touched down in Europe, destined for Ukraine.
He said Beijing must join the effort to stop the war.
He has warned that a new “era of autocracy was resetting world order” with implications stretching as far as the Indo Pacific.
