Russia-Ukraine conflict: Trudeau announces new sanctions against 10 “complicit” Russians | LIVE

CA, 07 Mar 2022
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alongside British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte will hold a news conference on Monday morning in London, U.K. to strategize on the response of NATO countries to the Russian-Ukraine war.

Trudeau said he was happy to be attending the trilateral meeting at 10 Downing Street in London to support the Ukrainian people and to “hold Russia to account and stand up for democracy around the world.”

“We want to stand with the Ukrainian people and push back hard against Russia,” he said, adding he “wants to talk about countering misinformation and upholding the principles and values that they share.”

Johnson welcomed his “friend” Justin Trudeau to the Royal Air Force Station Northolt outside of London early Monday saying “Canada and the UK are at one on many things,” adding they were “particularly united in our stand against Putin's aggression in Ukraine.”
