Ontario Premier Doug Ford will be joined by Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Christine Elliott to make an announcement in Brantford, Ont. on Wednesday.

The announcement comes as multiple media reports suggest the Ontario government is set to announce the lifting of mask mandates in most indoor settings by March 21.

In addition, Ford said he will “look into” a long-promised gas tax cut while also calling out the carbon tax for negating previous savings his government tried to implement for drivers.

On March 1, Ontario further reopened by lifting all remaining indoor capacity limits for public settings and removing proof of vaccination requirements.
