There was a heavy police presence in downtown Ottawa on Sunday, as the push to clear the capital's streets continued for a third consecutive day.

On Sunday morning, officers were back at the protest site near Parliament Hill, where a convoy of protesters, many of them truckers, have been demonstrating against COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other public health restrictions.

A total of 191 people have been arrested since Friday, while dozens of vehicles, including many large trucks, were either pulled out on their own or towed away.

Ottawa police say of those arrested, 103 were charged with mischief and obstruction. Eighty-nine were released with conditions that include a "boundary they are not allowed to attend." The rest have been released unconditionally.
