Skincare brand UpCircle collects around 100 kilos of coffee grounds from London coffee shops every day and reuses them to make beauty products. Every year, half a million tonnes of coffee grounds are thrown away in the UK and the firm claims to have recycled 400 tonnes to date. But the idea of marketing a beauty product made from "trash" has its challenges, recognizes co-founder of UpCircle Anna Brightman.
