Trudeau, foreign and defence ministers deliver remarks on Ukraine-Russia tensions | LIVE

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is expected to make an announcement on the situation between Russia and Ukraine.

He will be joined by Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly and Defence Minister Anita Anand.

NATO and Western countries announced on Tuesday a series of sanctions against Russia after Russia's president Vladimir Putin's recognition of two Ukrainian breakaway regions as independent.

Biden described the move as the beginning of Russian invasion.
