The daughter and wife of Anoosheh Ashoori, who has been released by Iranian authorities, say he was campaigning for the rights of detainees while he was imprisoned and will continue to do so when he returns.

The retired civil engineer was in Evin prison for almost six years. He was convicted for spying Israel's Mossad intelligence agency and sentenced to prison for ten years.

Anoosheh is returning home as part of the same negotiations that released Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.
