Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori are back in the UK after years detained in Iran.

Their releases were secured after Britain paid nearly £400m to settle a debt related to a tank order placed by Iran in the late 1970s.

Foreign Office minister James Cleverly told Sky News that the two Britons' release had taken years of work. He said dealing with the Iranian government was 'incredibly difficult' because of the 'huge number of sanctions applied to Iran.'
