COVID-19: Ontario's top doctor provides update | LIVE

Ontario's chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore is expected to provide an update on Thursday on the province's COVID-19 situation.

Ontario is reporting 834 people in hospital with COVID-19 on Thursday, with 267 in intensive care units as figures continue to trend downwards.

Meanwhile, Ontario also reported 2,262 new lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, though that is an underestimate of the true widespread transmission of the virus due to testing restrictions. The provincial case total now stands at 1,107,408.
