Liz Truss defended the package of sanctions against Russian announced by the government and dismissed claims of Boris Johnson’s apparent reluctance to penalise Russian oligarchs.
The foreign secretary dismissed claims that there was a link between almost £2m donated to the Conservative party since Johnson became leader by individuals with links to Russia and and sanctions policy.
