Alberta Health Minister Jason Copping and chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw will provide an update on COVID-19 in the province on Wednesday.

Wednesday's update will be the first since the province stopped reporting daily COVID-19 public health data online.

On Friday, the last day of daily reporting, the province had 6,583 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. With 966 patients in hospital with COVID-19, 62 of those patients in ICU.

A total of 4,023 Albertans have died with COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
