Ontario announces additional $300M support for Ukraine, priority travel processing for refugees

Ontario Premier Doug Ford is expected to announce further support for Ukraine on Wednesday as Russia's war in the European country continues.

He will be joined by Deputy Premier Christine Elliott, Labour Minister Monte McNaughton, and Infrastructure Minister Kinga Surma.

In February, Ontario pledged $300,000 in humanitarian aid to support Ukrainians in need, with the Canada-Ukraine Foundation distributing its funds. Ford had also said he wanted to fast-track potential Ukrainian refugees to Ontario, where he said jobs and settlement services would be waiting for them.
