New footage showing the moment an off-duty police officer tried to intervene to stop a murder suspect from stabbing his neighbour over a parking row has been shown to jurors.

Can Arslan, 52, is on trial for the murder of Matthew Boorman, who was stabbed 27 times on his front lawn after returning home from work.

Mr Arslan had subjected Mr Boorman, 43, and other residents of the new-build development to years of threats and abuse, the court heard. He had been charged with harassment just a week before the killing.
