Dementia cases to triple worldwide, research from the Alzheimer's Society finds

The number of people living with dementia in the UK is forecast to rise by 75% by 2050, to almost 1.6 million according to new research from the Alzheimer's Society.

The United Kingdom is leading research to tackle associated conditions however, with 'hundreds of trials underway'.
