Taliban destroy border fences with Afghanistan in push for Pashtun unification
Telegraph, 04 Jan 2022
The Taliban have torn down parts of erected fencing on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
The terrorist organisation is pushing for the unification of the Pashtun – an ethnic group that inhabits villages that straddle the border – and therefore don't wish for barriers to be in place.
Pakistan has said that it's committed to fencing the nearly 2,600km border.
