BREAKING: Chancellor to give £350 a year to hardest hit families

The Chancellor has announced a £200 discount on all electricity bills from October and a £150 council tax rebate for those in bands A to D.

It comes after Ofgem announced a rise in the price cap to £1,971 a year.

That will see average household energy bills rise by around £700 a year.
