Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the world should prepare "in a number of ways" for the possibility Russia might use nuclear weapons.

He did not give evidence for the assertion but added that several countries had demonstrated readiness, including Britain, the US, Italy and Turkey.

"The world doesn’t need to wait. The world needs to prepare... in a number of ways," Zelensky told Ukrainian reporters in a briefing.

He said Ukraine was receiving weapons now but not enough of them, unbeknownst to Russia.
