U.S. President Joe Biden is expected to deliver remarks at the Delavan Grider Community Center in Buffalo, N.Y., on Tuesday after meeting with families of the victims of Saturday's mass shooting and with first responders and law enforcement.

The shooting at a Buffalo supermarket that killed 10 people and injured three others is being investigated as a federal hate crime and a case of racially-motivated violent extremism.

Police say the suspect had driven to the city heavily armed with an intent to target Black residents, posting a manifesto about his plan, and livestreaming the assault. The 18-year-old white male is now in custody and has been charged with 1st-degree murder.
