Palestinians gather during the last Friday prayers of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. They come to mark al-Quds (Jerusalem) day outside the Dome of the Rock mosque at the al-Aqsa compound, Islam's third holiest site, in Jerusalem's old city. Earlier, fresh clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police broke out at the compound and left at least 42 people injured, following weeks of violence at the flashpoint religious site.
