The Telegraph's Political and Defence Correspondent, Danielle Sheridan, reports from Hostomel and Andriivka in Ukriane, as de-mining engineers were deployed across the country to search for and detonate the explosives remotely.
Small explosives have been found in residential areas. It has been estimated that half of Ukraine is mined and it will be a massive operation to make these areas safe again.
De-mining teams are using metal detectors and shovels to find explosives before carefully detonating them.
Vladimir Putin said that the West's economic "blitzkrieg" against Moscow had failed, as he vowed to achieve the "clear and noble" aims of the invasion.
Speaking after talks with his Belarusian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, in the Russian far east, Putin said: "That Blitzkrieg on which our foes were counting on did not work." He added that Russia's financial system was operating well.
