BC government seizes vehicles of anti-logging protesters blocking highway

CA, 14 Apr 2022
Anti-logging protesters have stalled traffic on busy highways and bridges in the Lower Mainland several times in the last few months -- but now the B.C. government is taking action against the demonstrators, citing civil forfeiture.

"They decided to tow our cars, originally telling us that it was just going to be held for seven days, but then we found out that they were actually forfeited. So the government gets full ownership of the vehicles now," said Ian Webber, organizer of Save Old Growth.

Richard Zussman has the story.
