Texas authorities are expected to give an update on Thursday as the community of Uvalde continues to mourn following a mass shooting at Robb Elementary School on Tuesday.

Law enforcement are facing criticism over how they handled the shooting rampage by the gunman who killed 19 children and two teachers.

The gunman killed his grandmother before heading to the school with two military-style rifles he had purchased on his birthday, officials said.

In addition, the governor stated he made several Facebook posts about carrying out the killings shortly before doing so.

It was also revealed that the gunman had no known history of crime or mental health problems.
