Ontario Premier Doug Ford is set to deliver a press conference on Friday — his first since his election night victory on Thursday night that saw his Progressive Conservative Party secure another majority government.

The Ontario PCs were elected in 83 ridings as of late Thursday.

“Tonight’s victory, it isn’t about me, it isn’t about the party. This victory belongs to every worker who knows they deserve better. It belongs to every family who knows that they can dream bigger. But most of all, this victory belongs to each and every one of you,” Ford said in his election speech.

At least 63 seats are required to form a majority government. In the 2018 election, the PCs won 76 ridings.
