In just over a week, on Sept. 10, 2022, the federal Conservatives will have their new leader.

The five candidates have all but wrapped up their campaigns and now it’s time for party members to make their choice.

The race is setting a record for participation with 678,000 eligible voters and as of yesterday, 395,000 had mailed in their ballots.

As David Akin reports, Pierre Poilievre is still the clear favourite – so much so that he may win it on just one ballot.
