Quinoa farmers in China’s central province of Shanxi are raking in profits as the South American plant drives agricultural growth in their region. Described as the “Chinese quinoa hometown”, the province’s Jingle county alone reportedly has an annual quinoa output worth US$8.7 million (60 million yuan).
